Tamaro Railway finally resumes operation

The gondola lift to Monte Tamaro was not in operation for the entire summer of 2025 because it was being completely rebuilt. Construction work is now in its final phase and operations will start on September 15.

SBB makes mountain bike tours in Ticino more difficult

Since this year, the Swiss Federal Railways have mainly been using ICN tilting trains on the north-south axis, making it more difficult for cyclists who want to set off on a bike tour between Chiasso and Airolo. New "Singletrail Maps" for Valais & Ticino

New mountain bike maps have recently been published by "Swiss Singletrail Maps" for the Zermatt/Saas-Fee region, the Brig/Visp region and the Sopra Ceneri in Ticino. With the new maps, the "Swiss Singletrail Maps" are expanding their range with sheets for Valais and Ticino. The new "Zermatt/Saas-Fee" map covers the Saas and Matter valleys, the "Brig/Visp" map the Upper Valais between Brig and Visp and the "Sopra Ceneri" map the region between Bellinzona and Locarno, including the Maggia and Verzasca valleys.
