The small Nara bike park in the Blenio Valley in Ticino has grown by one trail. Up until now, it was mainly varied and long, natural single trails that offered plenty of riding fun. The latest addition to the bike park is called the Black Wood Line, a flowing bike trail with berms and jumps that attracts mountain bikers of almost every level.

On the technically demanding course in predominantly natural terrain, the French won the day. Pauline Ferrand-Prévot came out on top in the women's race, while there was a one-two-three in the men's race, led by winner Jordan Sarrou. The best Swiss performance came from Jolanda Neff (2nd) with a brilliant chase.

In 2024, the Swiss Enduro Series will enter its fourth year and present four races for the coming season. The venues are in Leukerbad, Airolo, Laax and Einsiedeln. The Aletsch Arena, where the Swiss champions were crowned last season, is developing into a World Cup venue.

The Swiss Enduro Series can look back on another highly successful weekend, despite the challenges posed by persistent rain. Thanks to the tireless work of the organizers, the races in Airolo were held in suitable conditions. Tim Bratschi and Ysaline van Kampen braved the mud the fastest.

Airolo presents itself to the racing scene for the first time with the finale of the Swiss Enduro Series and immediately ensures exciting races. In the women's race, Carolin Gehrig snatched victory from local Claudia Grassi at the halfway point, while Anita Gehrig made it onto the podium on the final stage. In the men's race, Swiss champion Basil Weber shines first before Gusti Wildhaber turns the tide in his favor on the third stage. Tim Bratschi finishes third and wins the overall classification, which goes to Sidone Jolidon in the women's race.

The premiere of the new Swiss mountain bike series ÖKK BIKE REVOLUTION took place in Ticino in wonderful spring weather and brought Filippo Colombo's long-awaited home victory to the home crowd that had made the pilgrimage to Rivera in droves. On his home course and in the race organized by his Velo Club Monte Tamaro, the Ticino native was able to beat Frenchman Titouan Carod and world number 1 Mathias Flückiger to the other places.

Reigning cross-country world champion Nino Schurter and former mountain bike star Ralph Näf are launching a new racing experience in the 2022 season. The "ÖKK BIKE REVOLUTION" combines top-class sport, popular sport, youth development and mountain bike events. It starts in March on Monte Tamaro.

René Wildhaber goes on a trail visit and lets Swiss sports stars show him their favorite trails. The episodes of the video series "Ride my Hood" not only show action and riding fun, but also very personal conversations about the passion of mountain biking. In part one, Marco Toniolo, the man behind the largest Italian-speaking mountain bike community "MTB Mag", takes the Swiss enduro legend to Monte Tamaro. After that at the latest, it's clear: the views and trails are some of the best that the Swiss sunshine region has to offer.

At the Team Relay at the European Mountain Bike Championships on Monte Ceneri, the Swiss relay team once again takes bronze - despite a defect. Final rider Thomas Litscher clinches success with the fastest time on the last lap. Gold goes to Italy, silver to the team relay world champions from France.

Traveling by train to bike tours in Ticino is not only worthwhile because of the significantly shorter travel time. From 12 April to 31 October 2019, SBB is offering free bike transport from five stations in Ticino, with just a few restrictions.
