The Taipei Cycle Show is a platform for bicycle manufacturers. And the trade fair is also regarded as an indicator of how the global bicycle industry is doing in general and the Taiwanese bike industry in particular. Taiwan is considered to be the epicenter of the bicycle industry, as almost all major and relevant players in the industry have production and development centers here.

The Taipei Cycle Show is clearly on the upswing for the 2020 edition from 4 to 7 March 2020: according to Taitra, the Taiwan External Development Council, the organizer of the trade fair, the volume of exhibitors is up 17 percent on the previous year.

A special focus will be placed on e-bikes: an "Electric Bicycle and Motor System Area" will be specially set up at the trade fair to invite electric bicycle manufacturers at home and abroad to participate. This part of the trade fair will focus on motors, battery modules, chargers, power management systems and other technologies. According to Taitra, this zone, which already has 200 exhibitors, is twice as large as in previous years.The trade fair is not only intended to be a platform for manufacturers to trade, the organizer also wants to actively promote bicycle culture. To this end, a new zone called "Cycling Service" will be introduced, which will include, for example, cycle tourism, the cycling community and training aspects.
