Stuff picks

Trek is rolling out the fourth generation of the Top Fuel, and the engineers haven't just tweaked the weight. At Dainese, downhillers are testing whether inflatable protectors are just as effective as on a motorcycle. And the children's mountain bikes from Naloo are about to take a tumble.

Is this still a cross country bike or already a trial bike?

Trek Top Fuel 2025

With its slim, redesigned frame, the new fourth-generation Top Fuel is 220 grams lighter than its predecessor. This makes it the perfect choice for riders looking for an ultra-light trail rig for short travel or a particularly capable XC bike. With featherweight parts and a fork with shorter travel, the rider can save even more weight.

Dainese tests protector technology with airbags

Dainese Airbag Protektor

Dainese is already using it on motorcycles: In the event of a fall, protectors inflate and offer additional protection in the event of an accident. The Italians are now adapting this technology for mountain bikes.
