Relationship Manager & Commercial Content Creator
Ride MTB GmbH
Flexible, one day a week in Seewis, Graubünden
60-100%
Ride is breaking new ground in the commercial sphere and moving away from the traditional advertising model. Our vision: a “Commercial Community.” To achieve this, we’re creating a new role: “Relationship Manager & Commercial Content Creator.” Are you the person who will steer Ride into the future?
Welcome to the Ride ecosystem
For over 25 years, we’ve been the leading platform for mountain bike trails in the Alps. What began as a traditional Swiss mountain bike magazine has evolved into a dynamic, comprehensive media ecosystem for singletrack trails throughout the Alpine region. Print, web, travel, and Europe’s largest database of curated singletrack routes come together to form a unique platform. Our community meets in person at Ride Camps or partner summits, where the bicycle industry, the tourism sector, and the local scene come together. With up to 700,000 monthly web visitors and 90,000 newsletter subscribers, six high-quality print issues annually, and a growing community, we are an attractive partner for the cycling and outdoor industries, among others.
Your Mission: Revolutionizing Customer Relationships
We’re rewriting the rules: Ride is moving away from traditional advertising and transforming its B2B relationships into a “Commercial Community.” Our paradigm shift: Ride doesn’t have customers—it has friends. In this newly created role, you’ll serve as the central point of contact for the advertising industry. You’ll nurture these collaborative relationships and work with partners to develop smart strategies for how they can make the most of our ecosystem. At the same time, you’ll act as the liaison to the editorial team: You’ll take our “commercial content” to the next level and ensure that paid content is just as high-quality as our editorials.
Your Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Networking as an equal: Regular and proactive communication with advertising partners from the bicycle industry, tourism, and agencies.
- Strategic consulting: You’ll provide our partners with innovative and targeted advice on how to make the most of Ride’s wide range of options.
- Community Building: You’ll be the driving force behind building our partnership-based community approach.
- Representation: You’ll be a key representative of Ride at industry events, trade shows, and networking events.
Commercial Content
- Content Creation & Sales: Development, sales, and implementation of compelling commercial content.
- Quality Assurance: You’ll edit submitted commercial content until it meets our high standards.
- Teamwork: Working closely with the editorial team, you’ll ensure that our partners are incorporated in a way that’s both editorially sound and organic.
Your Profile
- You’re passionate about mountain biking, trails, and modern media.
- You have an open, engaging personality and truly enjoy building relationships and engaging in direct communication.
- You combine a structured, independent, and goal-oriented work style with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have a knack for consulting and sales and, ideally, bring experience from the media or marketing field.
- You know how to implement media content and have a strong command of the German language.
- An existing network in the cycling or outdoor industry is a huge plus.
- You have a strong affinity for digital technologies and are comfortable working with artificial intelligence.
- You are willing to travel within the German-speaking region (with a focus on Switzerland and southern Germany).
What to Expect at Ride
- Premium Network: A direct line to the top brands, companies, and personalities in the bike industry and tourism.
- Maximum autonomy: You’ll take full responsibility for building relationships and designing campaigns from start to finish.
- Scope of Influence: A playground full of possibilities within a complete media ecosystem, rather than just a single publication.
- Doer culture: An agile, small, and perfectly coordinated team with short communication channels, flat hierarchies, and a tremendous amount of creative freedom.
- Progressive Environment: A forward-thinking company with plenty of ideas and a highly dynamic atmosphere.
- Events: Regular participation in networking events.
- Work-Life Balance: Flexible work arrangements tailored to your needs, as well as competitive compensation. We expect you to spend one day a week at the Ride offices in Seewis (Graubünden) —when all other Ride employees are also on site.
- Security & Flexibility: A permanent position with a workload between 60 and 100 percent, tailored to your needs.
Are you the ideal candidate for this dynamic and creative position? Then forget about the standard cover letter. Just show us who you are, what you’re capable of, and why you’re a good fit for the Ride ecosystem. To do so, fill out the provided form and upload any additional files about yourself. The application window is open until September 21, 2026, and the application process takes place exclusively via this form.
We’d like to expand the Ride team as soon as possible. We’ve set aside the month of October for the application process. We can offer employment immediately or at a later date to be agreed upon.
If you have any questions, Ride Editor Thomas Giger is happy to assist you via email.
