Ex-Stöckli-Teamchef Stoll lanciert neue Bike-Marke

As a mountain bike pro for many years, Thomas Stoll brought a wealth of experience in a wide range of areas to the Stöckli Pro Team. After two years, the qualified mechanical engineer turned his attention to his own project - Stoll Bikes. However, Stoll does not simply want to throw a new brand onto the well-saturated market, but to position himself specifically in a niche in which very few manufacturers operate: exclusive high-end bikes that are specially tailored to the customer.

The claim of Stoll Bikes is: "Born on trails". This means that a lot of brainpower was put into the development of the chassis. In the beginning, it was the motivation and the requirement to design the best bike for themselves. The result should be a chassis with unprecedented performance - a big promise that we are very excited about.
In order to bring the performance of the chassis to the ground, a great deal is also invested in frame production. The design of the carbon fibers is tailored to the weight and preferences of the customer. The customer chooses the equipment and design themselves.

Stoll speaks of high value for the customer: "We are lean. This allows us to invest more in the product and the service. Our store counter is the trail. We offer our customers joint test rides to tailor each trail bike to their needs. In practice, this means that the frame structure, the suspension travel with tuning and the components redefine the riding characteristics of each bike."

Swiss idea, German implementation
For production, Stoll and Quinter do not go to the Far East, but just over the border. The frames are produced by hand with the utmost care by carbon specialist "Bike Ahead". "Their work is incredible. The frames come out of the mold so perfectly that they don't need to be re-sanded or repaired," says Stoll, delighted with his future bikes. After all, he knows about the quality, as the full-suspension racing bikes of Mathias Flückiger and Jolanda Neff come from the same factory - also developed by Stoll and Quinter.

If you are expecting long delivery times, you are wrong. Customers should have their exclusive Stoll bike in their hands no more than three weeks after placing their order. Stoll does not expect huge quantities: "Our quality standards for the frame and our generous service are the antithesis of the mass market. Depending on demand, however, we can expand our production process to a few hundred units a year."
The focus is initially on the Swiss market. The bikes will primarily be sold directly by Thomas Stoll. However, Stoll is also offering interested specialist dealers the opportunity to supply their customers with Stoll bikes.

"At the moment, the full focus is on the design and development of the structures. We are extremely pleased with the confidence shown by the pre-orders we have received, but we also need to be able to meet the market launch in June 2016," adds Stoll.
The test ride in Lenzerheide will be the first public appearance of Stoll Bikes. On the Stoll Bikes website, information will be provided on an ongoing basis and in the not too distant future, the ready-to-ride aluminum prototypes will also be on display.
