Bosch eBike Systems has worked with 3X3 to develop solutions that allow the motor to be throttled briefly while pedalling to enable a gear change. Depending on the pedal position, the eShift shifts gears at the ideal time and suspends the motor assistance for fractions of a second. Cyclists do not notice any of this: the assistance is interrupted so briefly that the gear can be changed even when pedaling hard. This makes the already precise gear changes with the 3X3 NINE even easier. Jumps across several gears are also possible.

Auto downshift for city traffic

In city traffic in particular, unforeseen situations can quickly arise that require rapid braking. The eShift automatically shifts to a low gear as soon as the bike comes to a standstill - this can be selected in advance. This is where the advantage of hub gears comes into its own, as the gear can be changed even when the bike is stationary. Even with heavily loaded cargo bikes, it is therefore easy to start off again at any time. Thanks to the wireless trigger, the handlebars have a clean look.

Integration into the smart system

For even more convenience, use the eShift in the smart system. Integrated into the smart system, the Bosch display or the eBike Flow app shows the current gear and provides helpful shifting recommendations. Thanks to the close cooperation with 3X3, the system is perfectly matched to the precision hub. Updates can be conveniently carried out wirelessly.
