Avid brings entry-level brakes

The new Avid "Elixir 3" offers proven technology at an interesting price. If you take the official 105.00 US dollars (with 160-millimetre brake discs) as a guide, the brake should also offer good value for money in Switzerland.

The "Elixir 3" should be in no way inferior to the other Elixir models in terms of braking performance and adjustment options. The brake levers can be adjusted using an Allen screw, the brake pads can be changed without removing the brake cylinder and it is "MatchMaker" compatible. With the "Matchmaker", SRAM Trigger shifters, Rock Shox "PushLoc" levers and brake levers with double clamping can be mounted on the handlebars to save space. With brake discs from 160 to 203 millimetres, it can be used for a wide range of applications. Based on a 160 millimeter brake disc, it weighs 405 grams.
