Stihl describes the GTA-26 model as a "wood cutter". With a rail length of ten centimetres, the cordless moto saw primarily tackles small trees lying across the trail. The big ones should be left to the experts at the forestry office anyway. And it's handy too: weighing in at 1.4 kilograms and around 30 centimetres long, the mini chainsaw fits easily into a bike backpack. Not necessarily as standard daily equipment like a mobile handsaw, but for the occasional ride with the aim of restoring a clear ride on the trails.

The GTA-26 is powered by a 10.8-volt lithium battery which, according to Stihl, can cut around 80 logs with a diameter of 4 centimetres. The low noise level is practical for use on the trail, as it is well known that not the whole forest needs to hear the front work being done live.
