The cross-country file is being moved to the back: in 2015, all riders at the Bike Days Öufi Cup will be riding fatbikes.

"Big is beautiful" is the motto of the Bike Days organizers for the sporty kick-off of the national bike festival, which takes place from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10 in Solothurn. This is because the riders from the ranks of exhibitors, sponsors and partners of Bike Days will be competing in the Öufi race on fat bikes for the first time.

The Öufi Cup will be given more time this year and the short race will no longer take place. The race on fatbikes will take place in the Schanzengraben on a 350-meter circuit. At the Bike Days 2014, Team Scott snatched the Öufi challenge trophy from Team Giant. This year's first fat bike spectacle will take place on Friday, May 8 between 18:00 and 19:30.
