After the riders’ briefing on Saturday morning, the teams of two and three set off on their individually chosen routes through Bike Kingdom. Instead of a traditional race course, the goal was to combine various checkpoints and challenges as skillfully as possible. To succeed, riders needed not only endurance and riding skill, but also tactical acumen and smart route planning.

Perfect trail conditions and sunny weather provided ideal conditions throughout the day. At the various challenges—including the Valaisanne Challenge Hörnli, the FOCUSWATER Challenge Tschuggenhütte, and the challenge at Ochsenalp—riding technique, agility, and teamwork were all essential. An electrifying atmosphere prevailed along the route, marked by mutual encouragement, sporting ambition, and a shared love of mountain biking.

At the finish line, a well-deserved post-ride celebration awaited all teams, featuring a cold Valaisanne beer and a group dinner sponsored by AVES Homebase. Once again, it became clear what sets the Bike Kingdom Hunt apart: the focus isn’t just on times and rankings, but on the shared experience on the trails.

Tourism Director Schuler Satisfied

“85 teams, perfect conditions, and a fantastic atmosphere—the 2026 Bike Kingdom Hunt could hardly have gone better. It’s impressive to see the passion and team spirit the participants bring to the event. It’s precisely this blend of athletic challenge and shared experience that defines the event’s unique character. My heartfelt thanks go to all participants, volunteers, and partners who made this day possible.”

A special highlight this year was once again the honorary award for the middle time. In the Advanced Hunt category, Team Munggä-Racer secured the victory with a time of 06:12:24; in the Intermediate Hunt, Team Dr. Fuchs & s’Eichhörnli – gschiid und fix won with a time of 05:19:45. Both teams were delighted to receive season passes for Bike Kingdom.
