The US bike manufacturer Cannondale is adopting more efficient structures following the financial turbulence at the beginning of this year. This has now led to the deputy managing director Scott Montgomery, among others, losing his job on Wednesday of this week. Montgomery is the son of Cannondale founder Joe Montgomery and has played a key role in Cannondale's development into one of the largest bike manufacturers in the world for many years.
No official statement is yet available from Cannondale. In general, however, people are surprised that such a measure is being taken a week before the big Interbike show in Las Vegas. Move will provide further information as soon as clearer information is available.
