The Cape Epic 2019 started with the prologue. Unsurprisingly, Annika Langvad and Anna van der Breggen won the women's race and Nino Schurter and Lars Forster won the men's race. They will tackle the first of the seven stages in the yellow leader's jersey. The decision will be made next Sunday, after a total of 630 kilometers and over 16,000 meters of climbing near Stellenbosch.
