Compact and powerful - the BiXS Pro Team 2016

BiXS can look back on an extremely successful 2015 season, but is losing an important rider in Lukas Buchli. With riders from the Wheeler team and Jérémy Huguenin as a complete newcomer, the five-man marathon squad is reforming for the 2016 season.

The bike brand BiXS was represented in the 2015 racing season in the marathon discipline with its own racing team. BiXS covered the cross-country discipline with the support of the Strüby-BiXS-Team talent factory. Both teams shaped the brand with numerous highlights such as Ramona Forchini's U23 World Championship title, Lukas Buchli's victories at the Grand Raid and Swiss Epic and Alessandra Keller's U23 World Cup podium finishes.

All in all, BiXS supported seven official marathon riders in the 2015 season, as well as ten riders from the Strüby-BiXS team who competed in various disciplines and age categories. For a brand like BiXS with national distribution, this commitment is associated with high financial and human resources. Due to this - and because BiXS will be relying on a smaller, strong elite team and a strong junior division with the Strüby-BiXS team in the future - the available resources will be concentrated on a smaller team.

In the 2016 racing season, BiXS itself will only be active in the marathon discipline. The focus will clearly be on the Swiss Bike Marathon Series races. At the same time, however, participation in international UCI competitions is also planned - for example at European or World Championships.
The Strüby-BiXS team will remain part of the cross-country scene.

In Oliver Zurbrügg, the BiXS Pro Team has a competent team manager who is passionate about his job and races himself. Oliver previously raced under the Wheeler brand colors. From the 2016 season, he will be racing for BiXS (BiXS and Wheeler are both brands of the Sursee-based bike specialist intercycle). Konny Looser, Hansueli Stauffer and Milena Landtwing, the winner of the 2015 Swiss Bike Marathon Series, are also switching from Wheeler to BiXS. Jérémy Huguenin completes the marathon team as a new addition. Jérémy finished the 2015 Swiss Bike Marathon Series in fourth place. With him, BiXS has gained a new rider who is sure to ensure good results in the coming season.
