Proven Tire Now Available in 32-Inch Size

With the Dubnital, Continental is expanding its tire lineup to include the new 32-inch wheel size. The tire is based on the existing Dubnital and is designed to make the most of the advantages offered by larger wheels. These include better roll-over performance over obstacles, higher traction, and greater riding stability. At the same time, the larger wheels are designed to maintain speed more effectively.

Continental positions the Dubnital as a fast-rolling all-rounder that bridges the cross-country and gravel disciplines. To achieve this, the existing tread pattern was adapted to the larger diameter.

Lightweight casing and fast rubber compound

Technically, Continental relies on the lightweight Race casing and the rolling resistance-optimized Rapid rubber compound. This combination is designed to ensure high efficiency and reduce rider fatigue on long distances and challenging terrain.

Alexander Haenke, product manager for mountain bikes and gravel at Continental, explains: “The growing interest in 32-inch wheels is evident. Our priority is to give riders access to our best tire technologies right from the start. With the Dubnital as our first 32-inch tire, we can directly support new preferences in equipment and evolving frame designs.”

Haenke adds: “As frame geometries and rider requirements change, we’re developing specialized tire options so riders can fully realize the potential of this new, increasingly popular format.”

Market launch in April 2027

The Continental Dubnital Race Rapid in 32 inches is scheduled to be available worldwide starting in April 2027. Continental has not yet provided details on tire width, weight, or retail price.
