CUBE Actionteam presents race bike for the season

The CUBE Actionteam is entering its 10th international Enduro Race season in 2021. As in previous years, the team is focusing on the global Enduro World Series and continues to rely on the CUBE Stereo 170 HPA as its race bike.

The team around Gusti Wildhaber, Jonas Goeweil and Veronika Brüchle has been preparing intensively for the 2021 racing season with various camps in recent weeks and will now start in the first Enduro World Series race in Canazei (Italy) on June 23. Swiss veteran Gusti Wildhaber, an experienced enduro rider and long-standing team member, is heavily involved in tuning the race bike. "Every detail counts on a competition bike. In a race, it's about hundredths of a second that decide who wins or loses! The current CUBE Stereo 170 HPA is equipped with the best components currently available from our partners and offers us the perfect setup!" says the Swiss rider. A new custom paint job in the CUBE Actionteam colors was also chosen for the anniversary year.

The Enduro World Series was already hosted two years ago in the South Tyrolean municipality of Canazei in the Fassa Valley (Val di Fassa). Based on this experience, the 2021 race bike is perfectly adapted to the high alpine requirements. The lightweight CUBE Stereo 170 29 frame forms the basis. The sophisticated kinematics are designed for aggressive downhills, but also allow you to really put the pressure on on crisp counter-climbs. In collaboration with the suspension specialists at Fox, the perfect setup was found with Fox 36 170mm and a Fox Float X2 to cope with hard hits at high speeds. Combined with the Shimano XTR groupset, Newmen Evolution SL A30 wheels including the Schwalbe duo Magic Mary and Big Betty and a Race Face cockpit, the bike is perfectly equipped for the EWS.

"The Stereo 170 remains our first choice when it comes to enduro racing. On long descents of up to 1000 vertical meters at a time, every detail is crucial so that the rider can always muster enough strength to control the bike at his personal limit!" says Team Manager Claus Wachsmann.
