The sport of cyclo-cross has had a difficult time in Switzerland for some years now. Like a village full of indomitable Gauls, clubs and interest groups are keeping this attractive and spectator-friendly cycling discipline alive - with success. Young organizers have even been able to bring a breath of fresh air to the scene. Unfortunately, this is not enough to get cyclocross out of its deathbed, and so the idea was born to bring together some of the best Swiss races to form a race series - the "EKZ Cross Tour".

In its very first year, the race series was a huge success, which cries out for one or more repetitions. The first repetition is already planned. Shortly before the end of the current season, the organizers of the "EKZ Cross Tour" announced the race dates for the 2015/2016 season.
The tour kicks off on September 13, 2015 with the cyclo-cross in Baden (AG). It continues almost every month with the events on October 4 in Dielsdorf (ZH), on November 1 with the classic in Hittnau (ZH) and on December 13 with the anticipated finale in Eschenbach (SG). The four races belong to the UCI C1 category.
