The strong group of elite men is therefore all the more remarkable given that high-flyer Nino Schurter is foregoing a start to get in shape for the Tour de Suisse. In the women's race, hopes are pinned above all on Jolanda Neff, who despite her successes in the elite category "must" continue to compete in the U23 class. Anything other than a victory for the Rheintaler would be a surprise. Kathrin Leumann or Esther Süss, both of whom have already excelled at major events, could also provide such a surprise.
