The Absolute Downhill in Illmenau is one of the great classics and is Germany's second oldest downhill race. It is part of the iXS Downhill Cup. For the 25th anniversary, the course builders rebuilt parts of the first course. Belgium's Gilles Franck and Germany's Justine Welzel were the fastest on the 1.5-kilometre-long but spectacular downhill course.
