At the international cross-country race in Chelva (ESP), the French are no match for the French. First to fifth place went to riders from the Grande Nation, led by Viktor Koretzky. Thomas Litscher keeps up with the front runners at the beginning before he drops out and has to make do with twelfth place. Maja Wloszczowska won the women's race ahead of the surprising Rocio del Alba and Yana Belomoina.
