In the elite riders' race, Mourey takes the lead from the start. After the first of eight laps, the Frenchman is already one second ahead of a chasing group including Swiss rider Simon Zahner and Swiss Eliminator champion Marcel Wildhaber. Mourey extends his lead to 25 seconds after the third of the race on the boggy and exhausting course. In the final phase, the French champion even picks up the pace and takes his third victory in Steinmaur, eleven seconds ahead of the former Dutch cross-country specialist Thijs Al. Simon Zahner, currently the strongest Swiss cross-country rider, finished just behind in third place.

A good minute behind are the two top bikers Marcel Wildhaber and Lukas Flückiger. With Lukas Winterberg in ninth place and local hero Lukas Müller in tenth place, a total of five Swiss riders are in the top ten.

16-year-old Sina Frei caused a surprise. The Swiss athlete finished second in the women's race behind Italian Alice Arzuffi, who had already won the race in neighboring Diesdorf. Arzuffi's compatriot Elena Valentini finished the mud race in third place.
In the beginners' category, Kevin Kuhn takes his first victory of the cyclo-cross season. Luca Schätti also wins his third race of the current season in the school category.

Among the juniors, amateurs and masters, veteran Beat Morf rides to victory. After the start, however, it is local hero Johan Jacobs who pulls away with a lightning start. The competition was unable to follow Jacobs, who was clearly in the lead after just one lap. On the second lap, Steinmaurer is struck by the defect devil. With a broken changer, Jacobs had to walk to the next changeover point, dropping back to tenth position. With an impressive race to catch up, he fought his way back to third place, cheered on by the home crowd. Second place went to Timon Rüegg, another rider from the host club.
