Handlebar recall at Specialized

Specialized is recalling all bikes equipped with the Alloy Riser 31.8 mm handlebars as a precautionary measure. The handlebars can be replaced free of charge at your local Specialized dealer.

PREVIOUS RECALL

Dear Specialized customers,

The Specialized alloy riser bar 31.8mm handlebar may be damaged due to an error in the heat treatment process. Safety and quality have top priority at Specialized, which is why all affected handlebars from 2009 will be recalled as a precautionary measure and replaced free of charge by your Specialized dealer.

The following bikes are affected by the recall:
2009 Crosstrail EXPERT
2009 Rockhopper DISC
2009 Myka HT ELITE

Important:
All bikes that will be delivered immediately by Specialized to its retail partners are already equipped with the new and flawless handlebars.
