The Hotel Cube will cease operations on Monday, September 17, 2018. The reasons are not clear to Tourismus Savognin Bivio Albula AG (TSBA) despite discussions with the managing director. The operational management of TSBA, together with the management of the Hotel Cube, is endeavoring to offer an alternative for existing reservations. In addition, attempts are being made to hold talks with the owner Rudolf Tucek regarding further prospects and possible uses for the Hotel Cube.

The closure is a bitter blow for the Savognin Bivio Albula vacation region. Together with the Cube Active (rental of mountaincards, bikes and other fun sports equipment), the Hotel Cube is a guarantee for warm beds and fun on the mountain.

"We very much regret the closure and hope that the decision of the main shareholder Rudolf Tucek is not final," says Daniel Fischer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Savognin Bivio Albula AG. "The TSBA, which was newly founded in May 2018, is working flat out to further develop tourism and join forces. We actively support the initiators of new hotel projects and examine new forms of cooperation together with existing hosts."
