With two stage wins and a second place, Urs Huber and Karl Platt have made a perfect start to the season. The two of them are a full six minutes ahead of their pursuers and are therefore enjoying great form. Because in just four weeks' time, the Cape Epic starts - Huber and Platt's big highlight of the season.

Christoph Sauser, who still enjoys riding even as a "racing pensioner", combines his hobby with the purpose of promoting young talent. As coach of New Zealand talent Sam Gaze, he put this stage race on his training schedule. The results are already impressive. Sauser and Gaze finished third on the first stage and took victory on the second stage. Their fifth place on the final stage puts them in second place overall. Third place went to the South Africans Waylon Woolcock and Darren Lill.
