Danny MacAskill's stellar career began on April 19, 2009: on this day, the clip "Inspired Bicycles - Danny MacAskill April 2009" went online on YouTube and has been viewed a staggering 38 million times to date. The video, which was filmed in Edinburgh and viewed around 350,000 times within the first 40 hours, quickly reached mainstream media and brought a marginal sport to the attention of a wide audience, at least temporarily.

MacAskill and his biking skills continue to be well received by the public, with the Scotsman currently wowing audiences at the third Urban Bike Festival, which is taking place in Zurich West. And the YouTube star obviously loves the city on the Limmat: "I'm a Zurich fan. Every time I'm here, the weather is nice and the audience is in a great mood during my shows. Then I always think about moving here. I've already looked at apartments," says the 32-year-old trial and mountain bike pro.
