From September 3 to 5, 2026, the E-Bike World Championships for Everyone will once again take place in Ischgl and Galtür. The event is aimed not only at ambitious racers, but also at recreational riders, families, and participants who want to explore the world of e-mountain biking without the pressure to perform. A racing license is not required in any category.

There are four formats to choose from, each with different requirements. The classic “Open to All” course is designed for recreational riders, while the “Open to All Advanced” category offers a more technically and physically demanding course. In the open Elite category, performance-oriented riders and professionals ride against each other.

New to the program is the “It’s All About Taking Part” course. It is ridden without timing and is open to participants ages six and up. As part of an e-bike parade, the focus is not on the fastest time, but on the shared experience. Participation is possible with or without a costume. All riders who reach the finish line will receive a medal. The entry fee for this format is 39 euros.

With this additional offering, the organizers aim to make the World Championships more accessible to families, children, and beginners. The various routes wind through the mountain landscapes of Ischgl and Galtür. Continuous signage and additional course marshals will ensure proper navigation and safety.

The event weekend kicks off on Thursday with the traditional “fox hunt.” In this event, participants attempt to catch up to a rider who is riding without electric assistance on a challenging mountain route to Idalp. This unusual duel combines athletic ambition with a format that’s sure to captivate the audience. Afterward, there will be a musical celebration at the Alpenhaus.

In addition to the races, the event features an e-bike expo showcasing the latest bikes, accessories, apparel, and technical innovations. Various models can be tested on-site. Participants without their own e-bike also have the option to rent one. Live music and other attractions round out the program.

Teams can also participate in the World Championship. Team classifications are open to clubs, families, and groups of friends, among others. The entry fee starts at 79 euros for the classified categories. The event thus combines classic racing with an open festival format designed to appeal to as many skill levels as possible.
