Mavic's 29ers become XL

With the new Crossmax XL wheel and Crossmax Quest tires, Mavic is expanding its range of wheel and tire systems in the Enduro segment. The main features are better tire support thanks to a wider rim and the best power transmission via the Zikral spokes.

Since many manufacturers also rely on 29-inch wheels in the all-mountain and enduro sector, the desire for more stable rolling stock in this size has become loud. Mavic is responding to the growing demand with the Crossmax XL wheelset. With the matching Crossmax Quest tire, the French company offers a high-performance wheel and tire system. This is designed to offer maximum versatility and comfort with a low weight for every enduro and all-mountain rider.

With 24 Zicral spokes front and rear, the Crossmax-XL offers the best power transmission, low inertia and low weight for fast uphill riding and stiffness and stability on the descents. Mavic relies on its proven technologies such as the "ITS4 freehub, the ISM cut-outs on the rims, FORE drilling and a new tubeless/tubeless-ready rim with an increased inner diameter of 23 millimetres, which provides wider support for the Quest tires.
