Mons Royale launches new bike collection for merino wool fans

The New Zealand merino specialist "Mons Royale" is launching a more extensive collection of bike-specific products for summer 2016 than ever before. The new shirts incorporate some details from winter sports and the cut is also more bike-specific. The items have a wide range of uses and are characterized by a comfortable fit and no odour build-up.

Merino shirts from Mons Royale are popular with mountain bikers. However, many bike park visitors were wearing shirts from the winter collection because they are also ideal for this purpose. "That's why we decided to expand the line in this direction," explains Mons Royale's Head of Brand and Marketing, Richard Birkby.
Small details such as an integrated goggle cleaning cloth, an extended back area or special pockets make the shirts the perfect companion on the bike. Strategically placed mesh inserts, some of which cover the entire back of the shirt, ensure optimum air circulation when biking. The unmistakable clean style combined with the merino wool means that the products can also be used wonderfully for other summer activities.

Thanks to merino wool, you can still wear a shirt in the evening after a long day on the bike. The special properties of the fiber promise a comfortable feel, no odor and optimal body temperature regulation during any activity. This means the shirts are also suitable for a beer afterwards - in style too.

The Mons Royale summer bike collection
The "Rider's Raglan Tee" is made from a blend of 95% merino wool and 5% elastane. It has a bike-specific fit and ¾-length raglan sleeves. The back is cut longer and is made from a breathable merino mesh fabric that ensures an optimal body climate when riding. Keys or a cell phone can be safely stowed in a small side pocket on the right waist. A practical glasses cleaning cloth has also been sewn into the lower waistband on the inside of the shirt. The Rider's Raglan is available in two colors for men and women.

The New Zealanders offer the "Racer Back Tank" and the "Cap Tee" especially for female bikers. The former is a technical shirt with merino mesh fabric at the front and back for maximum breathability and a slim fit. The Cap Tee, on the other hand, has a more casual cut. Both shirts have an extended back and are available in different colors.

With the new "Comac T" and the "V LS", Mons Royale is adding two V-neck shirts to its range for men. The two shirts are also made from 95% merino and 5% elastane, have an elongated back and a casual, loose fit. The longsleeve also has the thumb loops typical of Mons Royale.

The "Not Your Dad's Polo" is a pretty casual option. The lightweight and stylish polo shirt has a special cut with off-shoulder seams, i.e. seams that do not run exactly over the shoulder. This gives the shirt better freedom of movement and a more comfortable fit. The shirt collar can be closed with a two-button placket.
