What has been rumored for some time is now confirmed. Some of the most beautiful Enduro races in Europe will be brought together to form the new European Enduro Series. This international race series will be the sporting link between the Enduro World Series and the many national series. Experienced organizers and proven race venues are the prerequisites for this.

The race series will comprise six events in five countries and will be held in Central Europe in its first year. All of the venues are well-known names in the mountain bike business and some of them are among the most interesting destinations in Europe for enduro racing. The event kicks off in Punta Ala in Italy, where the first enduro race in history took place last season. The enduro scene then returns to Flims in Switzerland, before making a detour to Maribor in Slovenia via Kronplatz (ITA) and Nauders am Reschenpass (AUT). The finale will take place in Treuchtlingen, Germany, which has been part of the Specialized-Sram Enduro Series for the last two years.

The aims of this race series are to keep travel costs manageable and to offer a good alternative to the global Enduro World Series for both individual riders and racing teams who want to compete internationally. Furthermore, the racing series will be open to both professionals and amateurs in accordance with the rules of the national associations. There will also be a scratch result in this series.

The European Enduro Series is a joint project of the Austrian Trail Solutions and the German Racement. The latter have made a name for themselves through the organization of the iXS Downhill Cups and will also form the backbone of the organization of this race series, from registration to timekeeping and points distribution. Trail Solutions, headed by Georgy Grogger, will use its extensive alpine knowledge to play a leading role in the conception, supervision and design of the routes.

The sponsorship portfolio of the race series is also impressive. The US-based energy drink brand "XS Power Drink" will be the presenting sponsor of the European Enduro Series. Other important partners on board are iXS Sports Division, Specialized, Sram and Maxxis.
