When Swiss Cycling selected Marcel Wildhaber for the cyclo-cross World Cup in Namur, "Scott-SRAM MTB-Racing-Team" was noted as the team. Wildhaber is an official member of Thomas Frischknecht's crew, also for the 2017 season. What is surprising is the missing sponsor name of Odlo. Is the Swiss sportswear manufacturer pulling out as a sponsor of the team? A possible replacement already seems to have been found. According to the publication, SRAM is to be the new sponsor. The question now naturally arises as to whether the team will be riding on suspension elements from SRAM, i.e. Rock Shox, next year. A photo on Nino Schurter's Facebook account strongly suggests this, as Schurter's bike is fitted with a Rock Shox, no longer a DT fork. A new race kit has not yet appeared - only the hidden hint on social media that the team bikes are already sporting the new look. We'll stay tuned.
