Parts manufacturer ceetec goes one better: Chain guide with 18 grams

After the feather-light chain guide for the so-called Low Direct Mount standard, the Swiss lightweight manufacturer ceetec presents a new CNC delicacy. At 18 grams, the chain guide for the High Direct Mount standard ensures safe chain running.

The Chainguard SL is now also available for the standard High Direct Mount (HDM) with the same principle as the ceetec Chainguard SL S2/S3 already presented by Ride.

The weight of the new chain guard is 18 grams and is adjustable for chainring sizes from 30 to 38 teeth. Here too, the company's own design and shape have been used to provide the best possible chain guidance for both hardtail and full-suspension bikes.

The first Chainguard SL HDM will be used in competition at the upcoming XC World Cup in Val di Sole and then at the XC World Championships in Andorra. "A handful of selected riders will be able to have the safest 18 grams installed," says ceetec mastermind Christian Leuenberger.
