A new bike park is being built in Marbach near the Marbachegg valley station, in addition to the Marbachegg bike trails. Covering approximately 5,000 square meters, it offers features for all skill levels, from balance bike loops to jumps, drops, and wooden elements. The facility is designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, is built with sustainability in mind, and will be open to the public starting in summer 2026.

For years, the various parties involved have been planning the bike trails in the Bireggwald forest on the border of Lucerne and Horw. Now the municipality of Horw has answered an interpellation about the project. This brings the building permit a little closer again.

For the first time since 2014, the Snow&Bike is taking place on the Marbachegg again. Instead of the bike trails, on January 21 you'll be riding downhill, which is usually reserved for skiers.

On Saturday 29 June, the 4.6-kilometre flow trail on the Marbachegg will be opened. One for everyone and yet a trail on which even experienced riders should have fun. Ride was able to "experience" in advance what the Flying Metal crew has dug out of the Entlebuch earth in six months.

With the "MTB Zentralschweiz" project, the tourism organizations in Central Switzerland want to give their region a boost in terms of mountain biking. The brains behind it: Thomy Vetterli. He will explain the background to the project at the Ride Congress in September, but has already outlined the direction in an interview with Ride.

15 Lucerne bike stores joined forces once again this year to organize the Lucerne Bike Night. After four o'clock, there was an evening program in the bike stores with workshops, trial shows, guided tours, competitions and culinary highlights.

Something is happening in Central Switzerland! A workshop with the region's certified mountain bike guides was the start. Now the aim is to further develop the bike destination of Central Switzerland together.

Sportbahnen Marbachegg AG is expanding its summer offering with the region's first flow trail. With the 4.6-kilometre trail, the initiators are meeting the need for a bike infrastructure, but also want to achieve a separation of bike and hiking trails. The ground-breaking ceremony for the construction took place on October 19. The trail should be ready for use from the 2019 summer season.
