Twelve bike stores from the city and agglomeration of Lucerne show how to work together and celebrate the first Lucerne Bike Night on Saturday, May 26. After closing time, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the bike stores presented an impressive evening program in their workshops: "While some stores transformed their workshop into a stylish bar, other stores cooked delicious meals, served exquisite hot dogs, aperitifs and cut birthday cakes. Many customers were happy to take the opportunity to chat with their local bike mechanic in a relaxed atmosphere," says Marius Graber from the Kriens specialist store Velociped about the bike night.

In addition to specialist simulations and bike tests, the varied program of bike dealers also offered the opportunity to make key rings from old inner tubes, try your chances on the wheel of fortune or learn to ride a unicycle. The bike courier also took part in the bike night, guiding groups of cyclists safely from bike store to bike store, and ProVelo was represented with an information stand, Graber adds.

After 10 pm, the Lucerne Bike Night lives up to its name with a bike disco at the Neubad cultural center. As befits the occasion, generators powered by two bikes produced electricity for the music and lights. And there was no shortage of willing cyclists - like dancers - and the Lucerne cycling community partied until the early hours of the morning.

"The organizing bike stores are very satisfied with the first Velonacht and were pleased with the many visitors and the exuberant atmosphere at the Velodisco. With this event, the Lucerne bike dealers showed their closeness to customers and that they are not only good at repairing bikes, but also great at partying. A repeat of the event next spring is obvious," says Graber about the first Lucerne Bike Night.
