The Lucerne bike stores are celebrating the bicycle and organizing the first Lucerne Bike Night on Saturday 26 May. After closing time, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., the various bike stores are putting on an evening program in their workshops: one place is cooking risotto, another is hosting a lecture, a film evening, a bar, a taster course in unicycling, a cargo bike race on the Carrera racetrack or other surprises. It's the evening to wander from bike store to bike store, meet up, talk shop and enjoy the bicycle as an ingenious invention.

At 10 p.m., the joint bike party will take place in the Neubad cultural center with a bike disco: The electricity for this comes from the PedalPower power station, which transforms Wädlipower into rich bass and sparkling light organs. Some people cycle, others dance and the DJ spins the hot records.

Lucerne Bike Night, 12 bike stores in Lucerne, Horw, Ebikon and Kriens (Bergwerk Horw, Bikelocal Lucerne, Fischer Bike and Parts Ebikon, Imgrüth AG Lucerne, Interbike Shop Roland Leiser Lucerne, Koch Radsport Kriens, Numbere One Lucerne, Velociped Kriens, Veloegge Neubad Lucerne, Veloflick Lucerne, Velokurier Lucerne, Velosaison Horw, Velo Muff Lucerne,) as well as the environmental agency Umsicht, Velokurier Lucerne and ProVelo Lucerne.
