"Ralph is currently unable to ride at full power and we don't want to jeopardize his World Cup season," says Alex Moos, Sporting Director of the BMC Mountain Bike Racing Team. "Lukas Flückiger will ride the race together with Martin Fanger, one of our younger riders. It will be Martin's first Cape Epic and will give him the opportunity to compete with the best in a stage race. Lukas Flückiger is a very experienced athlete and both, together with the support staff, are very motivated to travel to Cape Town," continues Moos.
