Rock Shox wants to make all cross country riders happy

Pumped full of new technology, lightweight yet affordable: these are the specifications that the forks in the new "30 Gold" series are designed to meet. The forks are built for the three popular wheel sizes.

Lightweight, easy to adjust and inexpensive - these are the promises that the suspension pioneer is making for the forks of the upcoming "30 Gold" series. The price is not yet available for Switzerland, but all the key data on weight and adjustability is known:

The 26-inch and therefore lightest version weighs 1660 grams, the 29er version comes in at around 1828 grams and, surprisingly, the 650b or 27.5 version is said to be the heaviest model at 1842 grams.

To ensure easy adjustment of the fork, Rock Shox relies on the well-known Solo Air system, in which the positive and negative air chambers inflate automatically. The 26-inch model offers 80 or 100 millimetres of travel, while the 27.5 and 29-inch versions offer 100 or 120 millimetres.

Rock Shox differentiates the 30 mm forks from the forks of the Recon series in particular through their weight. The use of aluminum head tubes instead of steel saves a good 230 grams on the "30 Gold" compared to the Recon Silver fork.
