"Not long but tough" is how the organizer, the Greenhope organization, describes the routes of the "Sanbike Merida Trophy" in Pian San Giacomo. Under the motto "Rock'n'Ride", the non-profit organization has set itself the goal of donating a large chunk of the proceeds from the event to cancer research. The organizers were able to win over Eliminator World Champion Ralph Näf as the sporting figurehead.

In addition to the exertions, the race should also offer participants maximum riding enjoyment. The area around the San Bernardino Pass offers a breathtaking panorama. In addition, the proportion of trails on the "Fun", "Medium" and "MXC" routes is quite high at up to 90 percent.

In cooperation with Heli Rezia, the event offers an extremely attractive and unique supporting program with helicopter flights from 55 francs per person.
