Scott-Velosolutions - the new team around and with Claudio Caluori

We suspected it: Velosolutions has already supported the "Gstaad-Scott Team" in recent years and is now increasing its commitment and taking the place of the tourist destination. Together with Scott-Sports, Claudio Caluori's Pumptrack FIrma "Velosolutions" is team sponsor of the new, old team. A new, promising team rider has also joined the team.

While SCOTT Sports has been supporting the world's best riders for years, building a young generation of talent and using downhill racing as inspiration, Velosolutions has made a name for itself building trails & pump tracks and are world leaders in this field. From the Champery World Cup course, to designing and building the most aggressive asphalt pump tracks around the globe, Velosolutions is making the sport of mountain biking more accessible to everyone than ever before. With familiar faces such as Brendan Fairclough, who at 29 years old already has over a decade of experience in World Cup racing, progressive appearances in bike films and top 10 finishes at the Red Bull Rampage, the Brit is one of the most unique characters on the MTB scene: "I'm really excited about the new direction of the team. From the constant support of my racing career to the joint development of bikes, Scott has always been an incredible partner! Pump tracks have also always played a formative role in my mountain biking. They were the perfect place to learn new skills and have a good time with friends. I can't wait for the season to start with Scott-Velosolutions," says Brendan Fairclough.

New rider

The new era also brings new athletes: Gaetan Vigé joins the team. The young Frenchman is one of the most promising young athletes. Vigé was the world number 2 junior in the World Cup Downhill season, came third at the World Championships and can count a total of 3 World Cup junior victories among his successes. "The season will certainly be challenging for me, as it will be my first year in the elite category. But that's exactly why I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure that I have the best chance of success with SCOTT-Velosolutions," says the Frenchman.

Claudio Caluori will also do the course previews in 2017

In addition to the new team constellation, it can be announced that we will also be hearing and seeing Team Manager, Claudio Caluori, as commentator and with his World Cup course previews on our screens in 2017. "From building pump tracks to developing the new team, the off-season has been pretty hectic, but I'm extremely happy with the new trails. The SCOTT-Velosolutions World Cup team is a dream partnership for me and I'm happy to continue working with Brendan and welcome Gaetan to our family. For my part, I've been training for the upcoming course previews and honing my guitar skills for the after-race jam sessions at the SCOTT-Velosolutions Pit," said Caluori.

SCOTT-Velsolutions will contest the 2017 racing season on the SCOTT Gambler, equipped with FOX Suspension, Schwalbe, Deity, Syncros , E-Thirteen and Shimano, doing what they do best - World Cup Racing.
