With the "Monolink" seatpost, Selle Italia is not only introducing a new seatpost for the coming year, but also a new mounting system. The "Monolink" mounting requires a special saddle frame, which is why only one saddle, the "SLR Team Edition", will be available for the time being. The two mounting brackets are now positioned above rather than next to each other and are made from one piece of carbon. The saddle frame works together with the seat post as a kind of rail on which the saddle can be easily and precisely adjusted with a screw. Although the idea is not new, Selle Italia's adjustment system looks very simple and stylish. In addition, the seat post used weighs just 160 grams and is said to be 50% more stable thanks to the new carbon production technology used.
