For the enduro rider, there are new shoes: With the new ME7 and ME5 models, Shimano has developed shoes that are very specifically geared towards trails and enduro. The shoes are said to be as efficient as cross-country slip-ons and blessed with the robustness for enduro use.
The new models have been developed in collaboration with Michelin; different types of rubber are used for the outsole and studs are strategically placed to ensure particularly good grip and maximum efficiency. Both shoes are compatible with SPD pedals and weigh 375 grams for the ME7 and 385 grams for the ME5.
