Two weeks ago, Swiss Cycling had to cancel the Swiss MTB Marathon Championships despite an intensive search for an organizer. The disappointment was huge. Swiss Cycling is all the more pleased to have now found a solution in collaboration with the Nationalpark Bike Marathon.

When the MTB Marathon Championships had to be canceled two weeks ago despite numerous efforts, this was no reason for the association to give up. A few days ago, an agreement was reached with the organizers of the National Park Bike Marathon and Swiss Cycling is now looking forward to holding the Swiss Championships on 26 August as part of the National Park Bike Marathon in Graubünden. "It was not easy for us to have to cancel the event. We are therefore all the happier to have found a reliable, experienced partner in the National Park Bike Marathon," explains Pascal Seydoux, who is responsible for the discipline.The new organizer is also delighted with the happy outcome and the agreement with Swiss Cycling. "It would have been really unfortunate if we hadn't been able to offer the riders this opportunity. That's why we approached Swiss Cycling and offered to spontaneously take over the 2017 Swiss Championships," explains Claudio Duschletta, OC President of the National Park Bike Marathon. Pascal Seydoux adds: "Both sides have been very flexible. We are delighted that the event can take place and will bear the additional costs."
