According to Cees Lengers, Marketing Director at SRAM Europe, VIP programs at concerts and car races served as a model for the "X.0 Experience". In addition to access to special pages on the homepage www.sram.com, which is only possible with a personal password, the planned activities at races and festivals sound particularly interesting and tempting: "X.0" owners get access to SRAM's VIP zone, where they can talk shop with other VIPs. Special VIP rides with SRAM-sponsored racers are also planned, and as a bonus there will be a merchandising package with a T-shirt, cap and the like. The aim is to create a group feeling among the owners of the Topschaltweks.
But here's the kicker: "X.0" owners can have their bike checked at selected events - SRAM will not charge for the work or any parts that need to be replaced. Well, that puts the high price of the "X.0" rear derailleur into perspective... And the customer really is king!
