Whether the sunrise is admired over a leisurely breakfast in the summit restaurant or after an energy-sapping climb is probably irrelevant. What counts is the magical moment when the glowing red ball appears on the horizon in the east and bathes the surrounding landscape in bright red color.

The mountain railroad takes the participants of the Piz Nair Sunrise at dawn from St. Moritz up to Piz Nair at over 3000 meters above sea level. The sumptuous breakfast buffet in the summit restaurant is legendary and is only surpassed by the hospitality of the hosts. The start to a biking day in the Upper Engadin could hardly be better. The event takes place on August 27 and September 24, 2023 and can be perfectly combined with the Bahnenentour.

Torrenthorn from Leukerbad

Surrounded by four-thousand-metre peaks and high above the Rhone Valley lies the Torrenthorn, which can be reached from the Rinderhütte mountain station of the Torrent cable car. The sometimes challenging ascent of around 700 meters in altitude can be tackled as part of the guided sunrise hike on 25 August 2023 and every Friday until the end of October. It can be combined with the mountain bike tours Torrenthorn or Torrent Trail.

Parpaner Rothorn from Lenzerheide

A royal sunrise is served up on the Parpaner Rothorn, the highest point of the Bike Kingdom. The best views can be enjoyed on the eastern summit before returning to the summit restaurant for breakfast. The trail descent from the Rothorn is the perfect way to start a long and first-class day of mountain biking. The event will be held on September 17, 2023.

Eggishorn in the Aletsch Arena

With views of the Aletsch Glacier, the mighty Valais four-thousand-metre peaks and the sunrise in the east, there is hardly any other place that offers more impressive scenery than the Eggishorn in the Aletsch Arena. The summit is not suitable for mountain bikers. However, getting up early is definitely worth it for the sunrise, the subsequent breakfast on the Fiescheralp and for the start of an epic mountain bike day. The sunrise ride to the Eggishorn will be offered on August 25, 2023.
