When are the Swiss bike festivals?
The overture takes place in Zurich
From April 6 to 8, 2018, Zurich - or rather the Schiffbau, Turbinenplatz and Viadukt - will be all about bikes. Even if mountain bikes are not a priority at the Urban Bike Festival, the Urban Cyclocross will still provide plenty of spectacle on unfamiliar terrain. Daredevil cyclocross riders hurl themselves down kerbs and steps, race over the Letten Viaduct or set their sights on the Josefswiese. The festival once again takes place over three days from Friday to Sunday and was characterized by fabulously warm summer weather in 2017. The Urban Cyclocross will take place on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 13:45 to 17:30.

A must for bike fans: the Bike Days
Another must-go event is certainly this year's Bike Days. They are celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2018. The organizer, who also hosts the Urban Bike Festival, knows exactly how to thrill the public with international and national cross-country and freestyle competitions. Anyone traveling to Solothurn has the opportunity to immerse themselves in different bike worlds, test different types of bikes extensively and feel the pulse of the Swiss bike industry up close. Hopefully the 2018 Bike Days will be more fortunate in terms of the weather - last year it rained heavily time and again, which did little to dampen the good atmosphere and visitor numbers, but led to a much shorter program at the Dirt Jump Contest.
The sporting highlights of Bike Days 2018 have it all:- International Cross Country Elite Race of the Proffix Swiss Bike Cup with the reigning world champions from Switzerland Nino Schurter and Jolanda Neff.Saturday, May 5: Elite women 13:30 / Elite men 16:00
