In Verbier and Val des Bagnes, from Thursday, August 15 to Sunday, August 18, 2019, things will be stirred up with a big ladle. The organizers of the Freeride World Tour, a competition series for freeskiers and freeride snowboarders, are taking on the e-mountain bike. The event is called the "Verbier E-Bike Festival". The focus is on e-mountain bikes, with e-road and e-gravel also being a topic.

The expo area is located in the heart of the Verbier resort, the bike tests are free and the surrounding routes are ideal for really getting to grips with the e-mountainbikes. Guided tours are also on offer, from a gourmet ride to a three-day trip, the organizers offer guests a full programme. The three-day trip is a race format in which teams of two have to conquer a 300 km single trail route with 12,000 meters of positive elevation gain and 16,000 Elevation loss and passages up to an altitude of 2928 meters.

According to a press release, the Verbier and Val de Bagnes region offers many infrastructures for mountain bikers. With a view to its development, the Valais resort wants to become a major player in the e-bike sector, just as it has been doing for 25 years in skiing and freeriding. To promote this cycling venue, the destination of Verbier is committed to working with the organizers of the Verbier E-Bike Festival over the next five years.
