Ludovic May comes from Villette near Verbier and rides for the Cross Road Martigny team. In Bromont and Mont-Sainte-Anne, however, the 19-year-old from Valais competed in the colors of the Swiss national team. After a third place at the Junior Swiss Championships and a fourth place in the overall rankings of the iXS Downhill Cup last year, May has now moved up to the elite class and looks set to make his first World Cup appearances.

The classification in Bromont is May's first ever World Cup result. A week earlier, he had missed out on qualifying for the final run, but now he has scored 5 World Cup points with 59th place. Ludovic May has already made a name for himself as a regular film and photo rider at the Nissan Outdorr Games in Interlaken.
