Early on, the race becomes a duel between the Frenchwoman Margot Moschetti and the Ukrainian Yana Belomoyna. Moschetti decides this in her favor with an attack on the last climb. The Swede Jenny Rissveds is still not fully fit after an infection at the beginning of the month. She drops back from the second lap and then gets into a duel with Linda Indergand on the last lap.

The former junior world champion was able to overtake Rissveds, but the Swede was the stronger rider on the final climb. "I am satisfied. I could still feel the Eliminator from last night. I lacked the sprightliness today," explains Indergand. Her teammate Ramona Forchini reaches the finish line in seventh place. She is alone in this position from the second lap onwards. "Tip top," she says with a laugh, "I was able to ride my rhythm. When the Chinese rider came from behind, it got tight again, but I had her under control."

Jenny Rissveds takes over the leader's jersey from the German Helen Grobert, who only finished ninth.
