The photo reportage from the Himalayas, on the other hand, is freezing cold. In February, Claude Balsiger rode across frozen rivers across the Himalayas at twenty degrees below zero. The team not only brought blue toes back home to Switzerland, but also fascinating pictures. And as is tradition, Ride presents the latest fashion trends on the single trail in the May issue. Bike fashion has a lot to offer in 2013 - Ride shows the trendiest pieces in a different milieu. Bikes from Rocky Mountain, Credo, Nerve and Giant are also tested in the May issue.

Over a third of the magazine is devoted to detailed tour reports in the May issue. The Stockhorn near Thun is not only one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains in the Bernese Oberland, it is also a summit that can be tackled by mountain bike. The route over the Leitere Pass into the Simmental also boasts an exceptionally high proportion of single trails. The Laubegg tour is considered the most impressive mountain bike route in Eastern Switzerland. Until now, the route high above Lake Walen through the rock faces of the Churfirsten mountains was forbidden to bikers, but official mountain bike signposts have recently been installed. The classic route is finally legal!

The route to the Ringelspitzhütte is hardly known but is legal. It has been a highlight for mountain bikers from the Chur area for years. The descent through the Lawoitobel is a unique landscape and a challenge in terms of riding technique.
