The starting point of the Bachalpsee descent is completely different. The whole world meets at the mountain lake high above Grindelwald. But for us mountain bikers, the real highlight is the trail down to the village center. And finally, for the July issue, Ride was on Monte Grappa with its legendary serpentine trail. However, this route has an oppressive past. So three tours that couldn't be more different.
 
But the trail tips in the Alps are only part of the variety. Ride photographer Mattias Fredriksson was traveling in Canada and discovered Retallack Lodge - and perhaps the largest bike park in the world. So big that a helicopter is needed for certain tours. Helicopter is also the keyword for the background reports: Ride has taken on the subject of heli-biking and examined the situation in this hotly debated sector. And finally, Ride descended into the "underworld" and tracked down a number of mountain bikers who have ended up behind bars for very different reasons.
 
But the July issue has even more to offer. Bike and accessory tests are of course just as much a part of it as the varied lounge or the photo series by selected photographers. And what has been true for all previous issues of Ride is no different for issue 04/2020: above-average quality images, a loving design and a varied lounge with lots of interesting and unusual news from the world of mountain biking.
