E-Mountainbiker: Segen und Herausforderung zugleich
The 16-minute program is divided into two blocks, starting with the tourist perspective. The report falls back on clichés such as the e-mountain biker having a few more years under his belt and using the device to compensate for his declining fitness. Or that the e-mountain biker is wealthy and likes to drink a bottle of wine in the evening. That the wife can keep up with her non-motorized husband on an e-mountain bike. And, of course, the sprightly hiker who is annoyed by the mountain bikers. These points may be interesting for the non-involved TV viewer, but they don't bring in any significantly new aspects.
More interesting is the second part of the show, where Eco plays up its identity as a business program and visits the companies Scott and Flyer to shed light on the phenomenon of e-mountain bikes from an economic perspective. Scott CEO Beat Zaugg and Flyer Managing Director Andreas Kessler provide insights into their strategies and perspectives and show what role Switzerland plays in the e-mountainbike sector.
